City Locksmiths Gwent Ltd had a customer in Caerleon NP18 today who wanted to upgrade their internal garage door security. City Locksmiths Gwent Ltd advised the customer that in order to comply with home insurance requirements they’d need to have a BS3621 mortice deadlock fitted. We arranged to come around to ‘cut in’ a new Union BS3621 mortice deadlock. This type of fitting is good security & complies with the insurance standards. If you want to check your lock conforms to BS3621, then look for the British Standard Kitemark (BSI) on the faceplate of the lock.
